About Us
Shaheen Almas Education and Welfare Trust
was founded in 2001 by Syed Abidi, a renowned educationist and philanthropist who has dedicated over three decades to the fields of education and youth development. Driven by a deep desire to make a meaningful impact on the lives of the underserved, Syed Abidi established the Trust in memory of his late wife, Shaheen Almas.
The Trust is a testament to Syed Abidi’s lifelong dream of uplifting the underprivileged and providing them with opportunities to improve their lives. He envisioned an organization that could extend a helping hand to those in need and empower them through education, financial support, and welfare programs.
Shaheen Almas Education and Welfare Trust is a registered charitable organization with the Punjab Charity Commission (Registration No. PB-LHR-0138362958442174) and is also recognized by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). The Trust holds an exempt status as per the order dated 29 September 2011 under Section 2 (36) of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, which acknowledges its commitment to charitable and welfare activities.
The Trust is primarily funded by Abidi family & extended relatives/friends who wish to support the needy and through zakat. Importantly, we do not seek or accept funds from any external bodies, ensuring that our resources come solely from those who believe in our mission of serving the underprivileged.
The Trust is dedicated to empowering the less fortunate through a wide range of initiatives, including financial assistance, education, and welfare programs. Through these efforts, we strive to create a better future for those who need it the most.
